Took off for the long Thanksgiving weekend in Palm Springs. We wanted to stay somewhere special and where we would have the best weekend away at a resort with the amenities, care, service and staff second to none. That meant the Hacienda. Everything was excellent. From the arrival to checkout the staff was the best. The resort is beautiful. Everything u like, need or want us there. Amazing. Outstanding room, pools, spa, poolside chairs, loungers, fireplace, plush towels; amazing breakfast and lunches, wonderfull appointed rooms with the best beds, bath and amenities. The staff arranged for extras..flowers, champagne and snacks. Every request was honored. Its amazing how clean and neat everything is and how attentive the staff are to details and kindly checking to make sure you are happy and to see if you need anything. They are not overbearing at all...very comfortable. We liked the quiet atmosphere. Solitude, a bit of tranquility...where u can relax. Its hard to leave. We arrived early (11:00 AM) and our room was ready. Immediately it was obvious that they pay attention to detail. Our room was well decorated, comfortable and clean. We were surprised to find a basket of snacks and drinks with our names on it. They had everything we needed and more including robes, corkscrew, quality bath products, large dvd movie library, breakfast and catered lunch daily. The grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped. Two pools and a hot tub with outdoor fireplace. The service and attention to detail are outstanding. We are spoiled now. This place was wonderful. I'm not sure there is anything that I can say that has not already been said. Our room was prefect, clean as a pin upon entering and then every day after the guys came in to clean the room, it was back to prefect. The staff is on top of everything, always there to help but never intrusive. Robbie was there to greet us when we arrived, he toured us around the property and then showed us our individual rooms. He went over all the rules of the property, which he told us there really aren't any other than us to just enjoy ourselves. Which we did thoroughly. We were there for our wedding and when we entered our room there was a bottle of champagne ready to be chilled. Also a cute little basket filled with goodies to snack on. Thanks to the staff for that. Everyday in Palm Springs and at the Hacienda is just as nice as the last. My friends and my husband and I can't wait to come back. Where to begin? From the minute of our arrival until our point of departure five days later we wallowed in this oasis in the desert. We arrived after the office had closed so were instructed to use the lockbox to retrieve our keys which worked out fine coming in on a Friday night from an LAX arrival from NY. The minute you walk through that gate and hear the fountain and see the pool and outdoor fireplace, you know you are home. Sauntering across the property with the map provided with the keys, we landed at our lovely Grande deluxe suite with a well stocked goody basket waiting for us. The suite was gorgeous, and we settled in before getting our second wind. The property is split into two sections - the front and the back. We were in the back and it felt like our own personal resort. We were visiting with another couple and at no point in time did it feel crowded. Excellent service. Beautiful rooms. The grounds are well maintained, particularly on Tuesday mornings when the gardeners show up. That is the time to definitely have plans off site because they make a lot of noise. Had some great conversations with other guests. This was our fourth stay at the Hacienda this year and we will keep going back. As normal (!), we arrived to personalized embroidered pillows on the bed, a perfectly cleaned apartment, a pile of sweet smelling extra towels, and a warm pool 15 feet from our door.. Oh .. and Jacuzzi and fireplace on a manicured patio, lush and inviting. Not going to go on with this but this is a home, not a hotel. We would not even consider another location in PS, especially since I am not the fan, the husband is. But here I am writing the review while drinking fresh coffee and eating a sumptuous breakfast on the patio. Oh. did I mention lunch is catered? Trust me on this one .. I have been coming to this small boutique hotel since 2004. It is a cut above all the other clothing optional resorts in the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs. It has 10 suites and 1 room; two swimming pools and a hot tub;beautifully maintained patio landscaping. The clientele reflects an international mix of sophisticated gay men. The Hacienda is a secluded single level hotel a few blocks from the main restaurant area of Palm Springs. Upon entering the front door to the compound, I notice a glistening blue pool and spa. (Can't wait to jump in). We are warmly greeted by the host of the show who is absolutely lovely and takes care to show us around of the facilities. Each of the rooms overlooks one of the 2 pools with floor to ceiling windows, so, no matter which room you get, you will feel like you are in your own luxury apartment with pool view. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming. One major bonus is that lunch is served by the pool, and it is a sensational selection of options including a big juicy salmon on a big lovely salad. We bought our own bottle of wine from the local wine shop to enjoy while we ate in front of the pool. Everything is relaxed, we just totally enjoyed the down time, taking in a DVD from the huge selection, swimming and overall just relaxing. I travel a lot and this was by far one of the best places I have stayed. The rooms, the amenities, 2 meals a day, the pools/hot tub, the grounds and location are all first class. Most of all the staff are the most accommodating, friendly and truly concerned I have run into. We had a problem with our internet and they kept us up on the status of the repairs hourly and offered to move our room if they could not fix the problem. It was fixed and they presented us with a nice bottle of wine for our troubles. Truly this has got to be one of the top rated resorts in Palm Springs. Look no further...this in indeed it! We can think of no better place to stay in the desert. Everything was perfect...from the kind hosts to the excellent and lavish breakfast buffet to the wonderful suites (Number 3, here) completely equipped with even an ironing board, iron, and yoga mats. The bath and kitchen area were also generously supplied. Perfectly perfect in every way as someone once so perfectly remarked. Think this was my 4th visit to The Hacienda. I was welcomed like an old friend. I love the staff here. The Grand Deluxe Suite is just wonderful! It has everything you could want. I stayed for a week, but wish I could have stayed longer. I've never felt so relaxed and pampered in my life! The Hacienda is all about attention to detail, and they've got it down to a T. This was our first time visit to this resort, it was selected for us by a friend. We stayed there on weekdays (M-F). The initial reaction to entering the resort was wow, nice! The junior suite #4 was attractive, clean, very comfortable. Lots of space and storage. The AC was fantastic and much needed. The pool area was very relaxing, clean, always well maintained. The staff was superb and efficient. Breakfast and lunch were served and very yummy. The shower was fantastic and large. The view around the pool was very scenic. We actually stayed here mid week thru weekend while still having to do some work (we are both self employed) As always, the staff was exceptional in meeting our needs and expectations and our time not working was the full relaxation we needed to regroup. The Hacienda at Warm Sands is a true gem of a resort. To say that the experience there is phenomenal would be an understatement. This was our first trip to the resort, and we were blown away. It is absolutely crystal clear that the resort has thought through their guests’ needs, and put a lot of effort and time into making sure there are no hiccups in their guests’ stay. The Grounds: The resort is comprised of about 10 rooms split between two pool areas and connected via a breezeway (where breakfast is served during mornings). We stayed in the front half of the resort, but both sections have a large pool. The front area by the main door has a jacuzzi as well as a fireplace for the cooler evenings. The back area has a relaxing water fountain in addition to the pool. The entire resort is landscaped beautifully, and most days I would just sit on one of the lounge chairs and watch the hummingbirds fly through, or hear the distant chirping of birds while listening to the soothing sounds of the music over their speaker system. My husband and I have stayed at the Hacienda once before and we were happy to return. This resort is the cleanest, prettiest, most nicely decorated, and best service of any gay hotel that we've ever stayed in. Their attention to detail is far superior than any other gay resort in the Palm Springs area. We look forward to returning to the Hacienda again sometime soon!.... We were surprised other specialty resorts had surpassed Hacienda as #1 (on Trip Advisor) but we decided to take a chance. Don't be mislead, this is a top choice. Great staff+ Great rooms, love the cleanliness and luxuries like L'occitane shampoos, creams Great patio, quite sophisticated. Nice to have a 'free' lunch- you can have them store in the room fridge until you finish your hike perfect for couples . A swim at midnight with a view of the moon and stars.
