It was obvious from start to finish, the staff and management took great pride in their 'high end' product, being the 'Hacienda at Warm Sands' gay resort. If I had to describe this resort, I would say, Luxury appointed apartments and amenities, along with pride of service, second to none. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed as if you were family. The guest apartments are spacious and fully equipped. There are two large pools, spa's and an undercover lounge area where you can socialize, or just chill out and read the many magazines and daily news papers on hand. A continental breakfast and light lunch is provided complimentary. I have never known any other hotel or resort to offer such service, unless you paid a premium price for your stay. Free Wi Fi is also supplied and which was surprisingly fast. Even though it rained for our three night stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing five star gay men's resort. I've been staying here for several years every time I go to Palm Springs. 9 elegant private suites and 1 private room surrounded by two pools. Really is a dream property. Breakfast and lunch are provided complimentary, the staff down each of them is as friendly and helpful as possible. We often walk to downtown and or the movies and restaurants. For our third time to the Hacienda, my husband any I we're celebrating our 20th anniversary of meeting. The entire staff was honorous of that, and we've got special attentions. At The Hacienda, everything is perfect, the suites are very spacious and comfortable, the bed is one of the most comfortable I have deal with and air conditioning is just perfect. If you take the suites, you have a kitchen where you can prepare your dinner and the day after, everything is entirely clean up by the staff. The cleanliness of the place is remarquable to and the breakfast and lunch are delicious. Finally, you have two pools to relax (if you need to relax more !) We will certainly go back again many times as much as possible. Carl and Joe celebrated their 40th anniversary in the true desert oasis aka The Hacienda. It was soooo comfortable with endearing and informative staff, hassle-free services, and charming decor. Life seems to go by quickly and because of work and commitments we didn't even realize that 4 yrs went by without returning to the Hacienda. We must say we won't let that happen again. Returning after such a long time we found it to be as perfect or even better as ever. The staff, Steve, Robbie, Tom, Paul and Louis, the owners Maurice and JIm could not have more accommodating and warm to us like old family. We needed a restful vacation and we certainly got it. The high standard of this property is shown by the cleanliness of the room, fine detail taken by the house keeping staff, and the personalized welcoming basket. Throughout the stay these standards never falter. The Breakfast and lunch which is included in your room rate were always above standard and anything one needs they are always there to accommodate. This was my second stay at The Hacienda, and hopefully it won't be my last. I have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about this place. This time I was there during off season, so it was nice and quite. I stayed in the amazing Grand Deluxe Suite, which is well worth the extra $. I was stunned to find a pillow placed on my bed with my name embroidered on to it. What a nice touch! They had also left me a great welcome basket packed with all sorts of goodies. Everything about this place is perfect. They seem to have thought of every possible amenity you could think of, including a utility room so guests can do their washing, which was very handy, as I'd been on the road for a while. Nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly staff. There were a couple of days when the resort was very quite, so my breakfast was delivered right to my room, not to mention the choice of sandwiches and wraps that are served poolside or left in your room for lunch, all included in the price of the room. We just got back from our 2nd visit to the Hacienda and it was as awesome as we remembered from 2 years ago. Everything is first class, well maintained and luxurious. The staff are great all around and always happy to help you out in any way that they can. I forgot to ask them where they get their sheets and pillows from, I want them at home 🙂 Only time for 4 nights this visit, but already thinking about the next visit and hopefully a little longer. They stand out with the attention to all the little details which do not go unnoticed. The daily lunch offerings, served poolside or in your suite, is an excellent feature and allows you to laze your days away in the hot sun and pool if that is what you feel like doing. We spent 7 nights at the Hacienda at the end of a 6 week USA vacation from Australia. We fully recommend this property for the most decadent, relaxing and luxurious gay property we have experienced. The rooms are huge and full of top end fittings in the bathroom and kitchen. Comfortable bedroom and a full lounge/ding area. It is like staying in your own fully appointed apartment. French doors open up to your pool lounges and beautiful towels waiting for a day by the pool and a gorgeous lunch which is delivered to you around 1PM each day. The hosts put on a cocktail party on the Friday night which gave a great caring feel from the owners and the staff. The guys are always willing to give great advice about the area and quickly print out the map for the journey you are about to do regardless if it is to the corner store or the bars or to further afield. We met some great friends during our stay as the property has 10 rooms so there is a sense of family/friends and no over crowding of any of the facilities. When something is excellent you want everyone to know about it. That's what I can say about the Hacienda in Palm Springs. It is the best gay resort in Palm Springs and we have been going there for several years. The staff can't do enough for you. The resort is small with 10 units which makes it a very friendly resort. We've made several friends there and we all seem to come back the same time each year. The units, breakfast and lunch are the best. There is nothing that you can ask them to improve. Prior to discovering the Hacienda my husband and I had stayed at a half dozen of the gay resorts in Palm Springs. However one stay at the Hacienda and we're hooked and have stayed only there for the past 5 years. Our last trip was last week, celebrating my birthday and our wedding anniversary....a bottle of wine was in our room in recognition of my birthday and 3 days later for our anniversary, a bottle of champagne was left in our room. As that old song goes, "The second time around/is so much better than the first time." And after the first visit, I would have found it hard to believe that this resort (and an outstanding one at that) could have been better. But it so was. When I called to reserve the grand deluxe room in April for our return in August, Steve greeted me like and old friend and made sure that we would be getting one of the rooms in the rear of the property where we stayed last year. We were also bringing along a friend this year who had heard so much about our trip last year, he wanted to join us, staying in the junior suite near ours. We arrived early Friday afternoon and were met by Robbie, who went out of his way to make sure that we had everything in the room that we wanted. And to our surprise--on the bed were pillows with our names embroidered on the coverlets!! What a great personal touch! The grounds and the pool were immaculately cared for and the lunches again were a wonderful asset as we did not have to leave the pool to go into town to [...]

This was my first time in Palm Springs and after reading the great reviews I booked a weekend here. From the second I arrived to the second I left, the service was second to none. The rooms and the patio areas are well maintained and spotlessly clean. All the staff where very professional, polite and nothing was ever too much trouble. The included continental breakfast and lunch was delicious. With only having 10 rooms, it's never too busy and and very easy to either just relax by yourself or socialise with the other guests. I had planned on visiting some of the sites in Palm a springs, but in the end I just ended up relaxing here all day! Highly recommended and well worth the money. My partner and I love staying at The Hacienda and are already trying to plan our next trip! We visited in June/July 2014 for 4-5 days and it was our 5th visit. My friend and I recently returned from an extraordinary weekend at the Hacienda. Quiet days at the pool, a well equipped continental breakfast, delicious lunches served poolside and a beautiful suite next to the pool all amidst a wonderful sanctuary in Palm Springs - it was perfect.
