We visit Palm Springs at least 3-4 times each year, and we always stay at the Hacienda. What keeps us coming back? - Great staff: Steve, Robbie, Paul, and Daniel are attentive, helpful, and make you feel welcome and special. It's clear they pay attention to their guests and keep track of lots of little details to make your stay better. For example, on a previous trip we had forgotten the HDMI cable for our Roku player; three days before our most recent visit we received an email reminding us to bring the cable -- and letting us know that they had a spare waiting in case we forgot again. - Beautiful grounds: The Hacienda recently re-landscaped to put in more drought-friendly plants. While the grounds were great before, they're amazing now. Very desert chic. Plus, there are lots of plants that draw hummingbirds in the mornings and evenings. - Friendly guests: Every time we visit we meet other nice couples, many of whom we've kept in touch with. I just completed what was probably my fifteenth-plus stay at The Hacienda. I began vacationing there even before the current owners, Jim and Maurice, were its proprietors. Over the course of the years, they have taken an already beautiful concept and introduced ongoing enhancements and improvements to make The Hacienda a first-rate luxury experience. Every surface is immaculate, the management and staff are lovely, and they deliver a level of service and professionalism that is rare in today's world. I truly felt The Hacienda had reached perfection long ago. But, on this visit, I found a newly designed swimming pool and grounds, and the addition of an outside fireplace. Many aspects of my suite had been upgraded or refreshed since my last stay. But most of all, I noticed an even greater level of personalization--every note or card left in my room was personalized, and even my lunch order menus had been personalized with my name. I spent the weekend at the Hacienda. All I can recall is lying on a pool raft and staring up into the sky - so totally relaxed. Jim and Maurice have created a perfect spot for anyone looking for a beautifully decorated, quiet, gay-friendly retreat. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We just got back from one of the most amazing vacation we have ever had. The reason our vacation was so amazing is because of The Hacienda. When we visit Palm Springs we ALWAYS stay at The Hacienda. We have been staying their for 8 years. First, the grounds are top notch. They are serene and excellently maintained. Second, the staff goes above and beyond. Here We grew as a couple sharing our visions of Paradise. As we advanced in discovery of each other we kept challenging each other: How, What Where will we find/ build our own re-creation of Paradise. The Hacienda provided the perfect Oasis for this vision-quest planning. Making our dreams of a life together real and worth striving for all started with our days here. This place is truly a foretaste of Heaven. The staff are indefatigably gracious and warm. The breakfast were always hearty and delicious. This was our first stay at this resort but I suspect it will not be the last. In fact they are renowned for their repeat business. The places just oozes comfort and is perfect for relaxation (the Palm Springs desert climate also plays a part). The staff were superb, unobtrusive but there when you needed them. They are all very knowledgeable about local restaurants and attractions and will assist with bookings. The resort is located within about a 15 minute walk of the town center and is also close to Palm Springs Airport. All in all comfortable, convenient and convivial. This was our eighteenth stay since 2001 and after all these years and visits, we never get tired of this place, and when we are forced to leave we are already thinking about when we can get back. There are a few things that make this place special. First: The setting is beautiful with attractive grounds and stunning views of the mountain. The owners recently enhanced the landscaping and added outdoor lighting, and a gas fireplace next to the hot tub. So now even at night you will want to be outside enjoying the lovely ambiance that has been created. Even though the hotel only has ten rooms, there are two pools with different settings so you have options each day. Second: When you do need to be inside, your spacious and comfortable suite will meet all your needs. Most have more than enough space, and many include extra amenities such as: a fireplace, kitchen, dining area, private patio, two televisions, and a nice bathroom. This was our 5th stay at the Hacienda, so that says all about our views on the perfect getaway. The hacienda is a perfect oasis in Palm Springs. Accommodation is immaculate and staff are always discreet, friendly and very helpful. Thanks once more Steve and your gang. We stayed in one of the larger suites. It is spacious with a living room, bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom and large rear patio. A home from home. Since our last visit the gardens of the Hacienda have had a major makeover. We were staying at the rear which now looks much larger. The gardens now reflect the desert setting of Palm Springs but are still a lovely area to lap up the hot sun. Staying here you could almost not spend a penny more on food. Breakfast is of a continental nature but there is lots to eat. For lunch you have a selection of wraps sandwiches or salads. My partner and I LOVED our stay at the Hacienda. It is not fair to call the rooms "rooms"; they are truly apartments. A large living / dining area with a kitchen, bathroom and separate bedroom. The décor is very well put together. I am not necessarily a fan of the Spanish styling, but what do you expect when they call the place "The Hacienda". The interiors were spotless. The kitchen even had dishes, pots and pans in them. The bathroom had thoughtful accessories including Q-tips and mouthwash. The remote controls for the TV's were a bit of a pain in the you know what but only because we were not familiar with them. The owners and their staff are all great. They were very concerned we were more than satisfied with our suite and amenities. Although it is a clothing optional resort we chose to wear bathing suits. I think tan lines are more sexy than not, don't you? Many gay resorts can be disappointing - but not this one! The welcome is great - and it just gets better. There are 2 groups of 5 rooms - each around a pool. Our room was amazing - we had number 9 (of 10) that was huge and came with a small outdoor patio (which, to be honest, we never used). Importantly, each pool has 10 sun beds - so no need to worry about getting some sun (or shade). The breakfast is excellent - Continental style, but with chillers/thermos flasks to keep everything cold that should be cold (juices, yoghurts, milk etc), which is not always the case in many hotels. Lunch is also included in the room rate - a choice of salads, sandwiches or wraps, which were plenty large enough and always freshly-made. We did not bother with a car - but were easily able to walk to all local restaurants (averaging about 20 minutes) and the local shops (about 5 minutes). The resort is kept immaculately clean - with friendly staff who are always willing to offer every assistance to make for a perfect stay. My domestic partner and I stayed at the Hacienda at Warm Sands in Palm Springs in February 2016 for one week. We stayed in room nine for $512 USD per night, fees and taxes in. That may seem like a lot for a clothing optional gay men's resort but the price includes daily breakfast and lunch which makes the price reasonable. Also, the price keeps the unsavoury types away. Room nine was the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in, it was absolutely huge. The room included a kitchen, dining room, living room, one bedroom with king bed, fireplace, air conditioner and a rear patio. The room was clean, tidy and well furnished. The wi-fi was flawless. The grounds were separated into two sections each with a pool and one section also had a hot tub and an outdoor fireplace. The section with the hot tub had a better view of the mountains. Both sections, however were beautifully landscaped, clean and well maintained. Generic lounge music played softly in the background throughout the day creating a relaxing, sophisticated ambience. This was my first visit to The Hacienda and I'll definitely return. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, the setting is great with a mountain view and landscaped grounds, and the social environment is a great balance between relaxing and fun. I like to walk and this location is great for getting to downtown on one side and residential neighborhoods in the other direction. I'm already planning my next visit. The Hacienda at Warm Sands in Palm Springs is clearly the best clothing optional, lifestyle resort that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. My partner and I stayed at the Hacienda for one week from February 18 to February 25, 2016. We reserved a deluxe grand suite. We were very very pleased. Upon our arrival, in our rental car (lots of available parking), we were met by Robert at the front door. Robert was personable, kind and very friendly. He was very engaging and extremely helpful. He gave us a tour of the property and then showed us to our lovely suite. I shall begin my review with the grounds. They are impeccable. It is evident that a very highly skilled and professional team of gardeners work for the Hacienda. The place exudes pride of ownership. The little waterfalls in the courtyard by the second pool, the palm trees, flowers, the pathways..... Everything was perfect! This was my First Visit to The Hacienda, and Why I've Never stayed here before is Beyond me?! I wouldn't stay Any place else after the Wonderful Experience I Enjoyed here. The Location is Perfect, the Property and Suites are Beautiful, and the Service...Beyond Compare & Words !! The Owners have Employed the Most Competent and Experienced Staff, with Kudos to Paul, Steve, Rob, and All the others who made my stay there a Memorable one ! This wasn't our first stay at the Hacienda, but it was the usual relaxing vacation it has been every time. Great suites, beautiful pools, delicious lunches and breakfasts, and it's always great to see the same helpful staff on every visit. This was our first stay at Hacienda. We plan to make it our Palm Springs retreat, for good reason! The Hacienda is well located, cozy - yet spacious, discreet, well landscaped and not "prissy". Our suite was well-appointed, spacious, classy and not pretentious. We especially enjoyed - the excellent gas fireplace (our stay was early FEB) - the roominess and comfortable feel of the great room - the awesome bed and pillows (choose from their pillow menu - cool, right?) - the excellent bathroom, with double sinks, multiple showerheads, and sundries provided - the secluded back patio The staff are friendly, efficient, thoughtful and very helpful... top marks on all hospitality standards. All of the key features of the common facilities - the heated pools, chaise lounges, hot tub, Guest parking - were exemplary. We are extremely impressed with the quality of the included meals - the continental breakfast and outstanding lunches (personally delivered each day -- again, cool, right?).
