I recently enjoyed a full week stay at The Hacienda at Warm Sands. This was my second time visting The Hacienda and it reconfirmed why I would not stay anywere else when visiting Palm Springs. The staff is amazing. They are friendly, professional, and go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. From recommending restaurants to booking massages, the staff is top notch. My absolute favorite service The Hacienda provides is the pre-shopping service. For a nominal fee and the cost of items purchased, you can submit a list in advance of your stay of what you would like stocked in your room and the staff will do the shopping for you and have your room fully stocked upon your arrival. Everything from snacks and bottled water to sunscreen and alcohol. Its great to come from the airport and settle in without having to run to the store and stock up on these items. More time to relax. In addition to the continental breakfast that is served in the morning, The Hacienda also has lunch catered. What a fantastic experience. We had chosen the Hacienda for a special trip (getting married) to Palm Springs based on the TripAdvisor reviews, and it delivered on all fronts! From the beautifully manicured property to the spotlessly clean rooms, the Hacienda is picture perfect. Then you add in the exceptional staff and personable owners, and it's no wonder this property is so highly rated - not to mention the outstanding breakfast and catered lunches. I have stayed at many gay resorts in Palm Springs including all of the luxury properties but none of them compare with The Hacienda at Warms Sands. The resort is absolutely beautiful and has two separate pools at opposite ends of the property which was great. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the bedding is superb. The resort is well maintained with gorgeous common areas and feels like a true sanctuary in a perfection location in Palm Springs. The complimentary breakfast and lunch was delicious and of high quality. A fresh and diverse breakfast buffet is served in the morning while you can order your lunch from an extensive menu and have it served in your room or by the pool. If you are looking for a stress free and extremely comfortable stay then this is the place for you. The other guests were all lovely people from a wide range of ages and were a mixture of couples and solo travelers like myself. The layout of the resort gives you both the opportunity to socialize with other guests as much as you like or alternatively if you need your own space that is easily achieved too. We visited Palm Springs for the first time a couple of weeks ago and luckily picked The Hacienda for our accommodations....largely due to reviews from tripadvisor. It was a little more expensive than other choices, but you know the old saying, "you get what you pay for"! The staff was cheerful and friendly, not to mention very helpful with restaurant suggestions, reservations, and advice on things to do. The property was beautiful and peaceful. There are only 10 rooms, yet 2 full size pools to enjoy. Our room was large, well appointed, spotlessly clean, with a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and rich coffee poolside with new friends each morning. And then one of the best ideas ever....a catered lunch served either poolside or in your room each day. Who ever decided to do this is a genius! Delicious salads, sandwiches, or wraps that you choose at breakfast delivered directly to you. Think about it, after covering yourself with sunscreen and baking in the desert sun, who wants to interrupt their day by having to shower, get dressed, and go get something for lunch? The Hacienda was a pleasent surprise. We stayed there by default since other hotels were full. The hotel has now become a favorite where we will stay in the future. The atmosphere is quiet and beautiful. The clientel were extremely friendly and we ended up having lunch with everyone by the pool every day. It was quite the find. Our second visit to the Hacienda was even better than the first. We are so impressed with the small details at this property--like the personalized embroidered pillows, and the lunch order slips pre-printed with our names. And when we told the staff we would be checking out at 5am to catch an early flight, they offered to have breakfast items put into our fridge the night before. The high-end touches are fantastic--the towels with a pocket that slides over the top of the pool chairs so they don't slide down, the L'Occitane en Provence bath products, and the 'pillow menu'. It all feels luxurious without being fussy. It's quite a hike from our home in NYC, but so worth it. We look forward to coming back again and again. The Hacienda is by far the best boutique hotel we've stayed at. We just returned from our 3rd trip to Palm Springs and 3rd time at The Hacienda. There is no reason to stay anywhere else in Palm Springs. The suites are clean and large and the 2 pool areas are peaceful and totally comfortable. If you want a gay party place, this isn't it. The clientele of The Hacienda tends to be coupled or single men who want a more luxurious gay only experience and that's why we would go back in a heart beat. Above all, the service staff makes the experience fantastic. Steve, Paul, Robbie and the others made us feel at home. I would give a special nod to Robbie, who I would now call a friend, so sweet and attentive. Most impressive is that Jim and Maurice, as owners, make an effort to meet every guest and do introductions of all the guests on the weekend wine hour....class. If you want a quiet place to stay with excellent accommodations and 5 star service The Hacienda is the place for you. You want for nothing, the clientele is professional, the food is simple and healthy. I've never been more depressed leaving a place then I have here. It was the most relaxing stay I have had in a very long time. Will be back next year for sure! Pour y être allé à de multiples reprises ce lieu de vacances est tout simplement génial. Bon accueil, suite très grande est agréable, piscine, jacuzzi... personnel au petits soins. la ville se trouve à 1h de vol de Los Angeles en avion. Nous avons passé 6 merveilleuses journées à La Hacienda. Ce petit gîte de 10 chambres et très calme et intime. Le service est attentif, personnalisé ( on vous appelle par votre nom dès votre arrivée) et discret. Les chambres sont de première qualité. On ne veut plus partir une fois qu'on y a mis les pieds. Un merci particulier à Paul et Robbie qui ont tour fait pour répondre à nos demandes et rendre notre séjour le plus agréable qui soit. Au plaisir de vous revoir. Stayed here for four nights with friends, couldn't fault facilities, staff extremely friendly they made it feel like home from home. Massive rooms with all you need and super comfy beds. The perfect place to chill out, and close enough to downtown to walk into for bars and restaurants. Next time we find ourselves near Palm Springs we will be back to The Hacienda Resort. I was first introduced to The Hacienda while with my partner back in 2003. Since then we have made The Hacienda our only real end destination every year when it comes to our only extended vacation time. The first two times we stayed only about 3 days and came home depressed because we didn't spend enough time there. Now we spend 7-8 days and that still isn't enough at times. We both have demanding professional careers and leaving home (Boise, Idaho) for The Hacienda is the start of the relaxation therapy we need. The resort is surrounded by 8 foot high dense Ficus hedges and once you enter through the lush vine-covered entry gate, time seems to stand still. Jim and Maurice, Proprietors, and Steve's incredible staff (Tom, Paul, Robbie, Danny, Ken and Luis pay attention to every detail for guest comforts. For us they have become our extended family. We again are looking forward to our 14th stay in October . The Hacienda continues to be our home away from home where time has no relevance, until it is time to leave. Rather remarkable what these guys have created here. Attention to every detail, beautiful and incredibly peaceful. So many nice touches it's hard to list them all. And I'm sure there are some subtle ones that I didn't even notice. I have stayed in several gay-oriented hotels in Palm Springs, and I can't imagine staying anywhere but here. I took what I believe is the smallest room, and it was plenty big. Probably as big as the suites at the Wynn or the Venetian in Vegas. The bathroom was fully updated and with high end fixtures. Well this is the second time we stayed at The Hacienda. We went for the Int'l Bear Convergent but instead of staying at the Radisson we decide to stay at The Hacienda. To our surprise we found decorator pillows with our names printed on them on our bed, that was such a beautiful personal touch. After 6 hours of flying and 4 hours of drive because of traffic all we wanted was to jump on that bed. Steve and Robby are amazing but so are the rest of the workers they treat you with respect and the same time making you feel like a family. the owners Jim and Maurice are super nice too. We have been coming to the Hacienda for the past ten years. Our first visit really impressed us, from the welcome to the standard set by Jim & Maurice. We have now stayed there several times and each time we have noticed added improvements. It's hard to believe how they could improve on what has always been impeccable service. This year we were very impressed and touched when we walked into our bedroom to see our names sewn onto pillows on the bed. Lovely touch! The bathroom was full of everything you could ever want for your stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Steve and his staff, printing off routes to the many fine restaurants in the area. My partner and I recently stayed at the Hacienda for the first time and we definitely plan on returning. Everything was perfect. The staff was amazing - friendly and attentive. The accommodations were incredible - from our spacious suite with a private patio to the pools and hot tub. This was our first stay at the Hacienda, and we've already booked our next visit. We were in a Deluxe Suite, and the room was beautiful and huge, with a separate living room and kitchenette with a small dining table. The furnishings are tasteful--sort of a Palm Springs/tropical mix. The grounds are immaculately maintained, with lots of seating around the two spotless pools. Even though we were visiting on Pride Weekend and there were tons of activities throughout the city, it seemed most guests wanted to stay at the Hacienda! Even with the amazing amenities, it's really the staff that makes the Hacienda shine. They have a very high staff-to-guest ratio, and it shows. The staff is attentive, without hovering. Lunch is included in the room rate, and one day we went to explore the city and got back a little after lunch; the staff had wrapped up our food and placed it into our refrigerator for us. If you are at the Hacienda at lunchtime, the staff will set up your lunch in your room or out by the pool. Our fellow guests were great guys.
