The Hacienda sets a new standard amongst the other usual resorts in the Warm Sands location. Our room was spectatcular and on the level of a five star resort. We did the "Special Celebration Package" which was just incredible. The attention to detail was impeccable with such special services as our names embroidered into beautiful souvenieer pillows and gorgeous flowers, fruit basket and delicous cake waiting in our room upon check-in. It felt like home from the moment we entered with a friendly and very helpful staff making sure our stay nothing short of perfect. The Hacienda is one of a kind and the owners, Maurice and Jim, should be so proud of this little paradise they have created in the middle of beautiful Palm Springs. The Hacienda is simply the Best! I cannot say enough good things regarding this establishment and its owners. The stay was amazing...from the comfortable beds, the well appointed rooms, meticulousness of the grounds and the delicious breakfast and LUNCH, but most of all the warm and inviting owners and staff. Based on the reviews we had high expectations and were no dissapointed. The catered lunches were excellent and you even were able to choose from a menu of options all of which were very healthy. The breakfast was good with grapefruit from their own tree. The property was superb and the staff very friendly. We would recommend going with at minimum the deluxe suite. We found the resort relaxing and the other guests to be mature and pleasant. If you're looking to party hard this would probably not be your best option as the experience is not geared towards that. My husband and I spent NYE there, but it was a trip more special than NYE as we also were celebrating our marriage again; and the staff could not possibly be more helpful. I had a million questions and requests to help make that trip as special as possible, and while I felt like I was always asking them something, they always bent over backwards to help and always answered "Dont worry about it, thats what we're here for". As other reviewers said they managed to find the fine line between being incredibly attentive without being obtrusive. They really do make you feel like home away from home. And the fact that they throw in lunch as well as breakfast is a huge plus over other B&B's. Cant thank you guys enough for all you did and we will without doubt return! From the moment we arrived, The Hacienda made us feel at home. Our room, a huge suite, was sumptuous, and white glove clean. Two large high def TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, and an amazing two man shower. The kitchen was great as he held all the food and drink we brought. Breakfasts are provided by The Hacienda, and they are buffet style. We brought ours back to the room, as the mornings were cool, and sat by the gas fireplace and ate by the glow of the fire. By the time it warmed up, we were able to use the pool and sit in the sun and enjoy the great weather, even for December. (Admittedly we lucked out as the day after we left it rained.) The other guests at The Hacienda all were nice and respectful of each other, and it added to the comfort level. More importantly, the staff was incredible and very, very helpful. The eight suites and two rooms at the Hacienda are attractive, with an eclectic, harmonious array of well-made furniture that give a happy impression of understated sophistication. The beds are luxuriously comfortable; the linens and towels impeccable. The grounds and two swimming pools are perfectly maintained. The experienced and friendly staff is exceptionally helpful, energetic, uncommonly even-tempered and good-humored. They go out of their way to be accommodating. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of choices, very nicely presented,. Guests select their lunches from a menu with a set of healthful and appetizing choices. The food is brought in from elsewhere, plated, and then served wherever the guest chooses. Thoughtful attention to detail to every aspect of being away from home make the experience of staying at the Hacienda smooth and pleasurable. I've visited Palm Springs for a few days each of the past several months and I keep returning to The Hacienda because it is incredibly comfortable and a great value. The quality of the accommodations is superb, and the owners and staff are warm and helpful. I've traveled extensively for business around the world for many years and stayed in some pretty swell places. By comparison, The Hacienda is a class act! We have stayed in Palm Springs gay resorts a number of times. Santiago and Inndulge are wonderful but the Hacienda is a significant step up and not to be missed if the price doesn't deter you (but it's worth it and really not that much more than the mentioned properties). The experience is a bit different though. The mood is laid back luxury and the cruise factor is definately lower (but it's in the middle of the warm sands resorts so just walk out the gate if you find the need). The rooms and grounds are absolutely beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The service is fantastic. The staff are unobtrusively attentive (until they leave at 7 PM) and will arrange just about anything for you. We were in a Junior suite but toured some of the others (there are only 10 rooms). There is only one room (the least expensive patio room) that doesn't open up directly onto one of the 2 pools. It is only a few steps away and the room is beautiful though. Staying at The Hacienda is so great everytime we come back - been there 4 years in a row - the suites, the swimming pool, the hot top and not least the owners and their staff, makes you wanna come back year after year. We are always sad when we have to leave this paradise in Palm Springs. We can not think of anything that is missing there and we could not want for anymore. We already cant wait till our next stay. This was our fifth stay at The Hacienda! As always, the service and accommodations were excellent! The owners, Jim & Maurice, could not be more helpful in making our stay enjoyable! Staff members, Steve & Tom look after your every need. Jim & Maurice are very proud of their guest house and are constantly upgrading the amenities. The breakfast is excellent and it is the only guest house we have encountered which serves lunch! The two large pool areas offer fantastic mountain vistas! Our first stay at The Hacienda will NOT be our last! We found the rooms to be extremely comfortable and roomy; we were in Suite 3, which is roughly mid-sized, and it included a full-size living room, roomy bedroom (king bed), spacious bathroom, and an efficient, well-equipped kitchen and dining nook. The room was spotless and absolutely comfortable; arriving with rose petals on the bed (part of a romance package upgrade we purchased) started the trip off perfectly. The expanded continental breakfast is satisfying: Pastries, breads, hardboiled eggs, cereals, coffee, orange juice, and a small selection of meats and cheeses as more than enough. The catered lunch (included in the price - mostly sandwiches and wraps) was wonderful and very filling. Served poolside or in your room, it became a way for us to mingle and talk with other guests - many of whom we'll keep in touch with. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient - asking for help making dining reservations not only yielded excellent suggestions, but also maps, menus, and other information to help make our decision easier. Thank you again for another delightful stay at The Hacienda. I think we had forgotten how magical the experience is for us, but it didn't take us long to remember how much we have come to appreciate the total experience that is the heart and soul of a visit to your property. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. It is obvious that you are very focused on our complete experience and it was evident in every detail of our visit. I laughed to Henry that we are profiled like nowhere else, especially when I disclosed to Jim that we had swapped the sleeping sides of the bed for this visit and the customized pillows reflected the change the next morning! We were very touched by the commemorative pillows, in fact that was the only picture we took this visit - but at least we took one picture on this trip! My partner and I have been wanting to stay at the Hacienda for some time, but they were always booked. Well now we both see why, being there was like being at home. Our room was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in at resort. The owners and staff would make sure everything was to our liking. You know you have had a good vacation when you want to cry a little on your last day. This was my second time at The Hacienda - and who thought it could be better than the first- but it was great. Eight nights this time- wish I could have made it eighteen. The owners, Jim and Maurice, and the staff, Tom and Steve, tackle every little detail to make guests feel like they are kings for their stay. Their time, thoughtfulness, and care show in all the little details- that so many places miss- flawless rooms, attention to detail, friendliness, and for single travelers in particular, a want to make sure those travelers connect with other guests at the resort. I always leave the resort feeling like I have made new friends (Howdy- Mark, Paul, Matthew, Mel, Steve, Chris, and Paul.2!). July is definitely a hot time to be in Palm Springs- but there is so much to do. So many bars, so little time. Bring a lot of sunscreen and stay in the pool during the day and you'll be ok.
