This is a wonderful, luxurious, secluded "inn" in the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs. My partner and I have vacationed there once or twice a year for many years now. It is a great place for gay male couples or for single men who are not interested in the cruisy sexual atmosphere of some other inns in the area, yet want to relax in a clothing-optional men's resort. For us it is like having a vacation home in Palm Springs without any of the hassles of home ownership. We love it and will keep coming back. The Hacienda is a small gay resort in the Warm Sands neighborhood. It is distinguished by its beautifully maintained rooms and suites and its friendly and helpful staff. This was our second visit and we cannot fault it. Jim, Maurice and the entire staff looked after us superbly. The suite was everything you could wish for cleaned spotlesly every day with plenty of towels and toiletries provided and good aircon. The breakfasts and lunches were excellent and their knowledge of the local restaurants meant every meal we had was first class. The atmosphere was laid back and we met some very friendly people there. The pools were always clean and the hot tub always hot - so nice to just relax in the glorious sunshine. This really feels like a home from home and we will certainly be back and cannot recommend it too highly. The Hacienda in Warm Sands is a quiet, friendly, casual but upscale Inn catering to Gay men. It is a clothing optional Inn with two pools, 11 rooms and an very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Staff is very knowledgeable on local restaurants, sights and services. And the grounds are attractive and well-maintained. Above all, they WANT you to feel welcome and comfortable. The Inn provides and continental plus breakfast and gourmet sandwiches/salads for lunch as part of the package. Room quality ranges from tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable to luxury suites with kitchen, living area and fireplace. ALL the rooms are nice and most people will be happy in any of them. It's a quiet, comfortable, romantic place to chill for a weekend or a week. My partner and I have been going to the Hacienda for about 10 years. I can't rate it highly enough. We have just had what must be our twelfth stay at this fabulous place, that just keeps getting better and better. Having read the recent reviews on this site, I can see I'm not alone in thinking this. The Hacienda has gone from strength to strength over the years. The improvements are continual but subtle, so they're never resting on their laurels or changing something just for the sake of it. Lunches are now great, having been "just" good before. The room improvements ( eg plasma Tv's, fantastic new bathrooms) are what you would do to your own home if you could afford it. The sunbed mattresses are now the most comfortable I've laid on, and the towelling toppers (complete with low key embossed Hacienda logo) are pure decadence. Above all, the service and welcome are fantastic, without ever being "in your face". Yes, we love this place. Thank you to Jim, Maurice, Steve, Tom and all the boys for spoiling us once again at our home from home. If only we lived nearer, we'd visit even more often! My partner and I have been visiting Palm Springs for years. We have stayed at just about every place in the area but Hacienda. I'm must say that James and I were thrilled at the standards, cleanliness and hospitality of the entire staff. This was our 4th stay at The Hacienda at Warm Sands. It is the perfect place to spend time with your partner or buddy in a very quiet and relaxed resort. Guests are treated like royality. All of your needs are taken care of. Breakfast and lunch are provided. The rooms/suites are in perfect condition. You are one step away from the pool which is just outside your door. Of all the gay resorts we've stayed in Palm Springs (8 at last count), Hacienda is by far the best and most consistently excellent in their service, property maintenance, food and attention to detail (pillows with our names embroidered on them being the most recent example of this), While the daily rate is a little higher than others, considering that it includes a catered lunch as well as the staff tip, it pencils out to be close to what you would have spent anyway. The Hacienda at Warm Sands sets itself apart from all the other Warm Sands area resorts with its fine attention to detail and superb service. Once inside the gates of this beautiful property--we were pampered with genuine care and surrounded with the luxuries and quality furnishings that we would expect to find only at the top name mainstream resorts. The hotel was well run--spotlessly clean --yet surprisingly more friendly and relaxing than we had expected. The breakfast and lunches served exceeded our expectations--as did the endless supply of thick cotton towels, fine bedding, welcome gift basket--and even a martini shaker in the well appointed kitchen---they really had thought of everything we could need. The stay costs more than the typical "camp" style hotel in the neighborhood--but the exceptional experience makes the Hacienda a superb value and a wonderful vacation! We will be back! The impeccable and unobtrusive service, immaculate suites and grounds with two beautiful pools, excellent breakfast and catered lunch led me to extend my stay from three days to a week. The Hacienda is an excellent place to stay. My partner and I visited for our anniversary, and had an amazing time. This place bombards you with options, which is great. They have a DVD library with lots of great films (to include several gay movies), a selection of different pillows, a free continental breakfast, free lunch, and great concierge services. This place is small (10 rooms) and has two pools, so it probably never gets too crowded. And the service provided is excellent, from the housekeeping to the food service to the poolside attendants (there was always a fresh towel on the lounge chairs by the pool). The room itself was fantastic. We stayed in a deluxe suite, which included a well-stocked kitchen and dining room, living room with cable TV and DVD player, a bathroom with a two-man shower, and a bedroom with a large closet and another TV/DVD player. There was a welcome basket for us in the room with our names on it when we arrived with water, snacks, and coffee. And finally, parking is available and free. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Palm Springs. It's pricey, but you can't beat the service. I would return [...]

When looking at possible places to stay on the internet, many times the actual place does not live up to the internet description.In the case of the Hacienda, it went way above our expectations.From the staff, the suite, the food,the landscaping, everything was outstanding.
