This was a repeat visit for us to The Hacienda and once again, it did not disappoint! We love it there! It is so intimate and comfortable with immaculate grounds and a beautiful view of the mountains from the pool. All of the staff is incredible and very attentive. It was our 20th anniversary and the owners, Jim & Maurice, could not have been kinder - they even had a bottle of champagne and a personalized card waiting for us upon arrival. We had another wonderful stay at the Hacienda, earlier this month in February. We were lucky with perfect weather most of our stay, sunny and in the mid-70s. Immediately upon check in we received suggestions for local activities (there was a modernism exhibit going on in town) and other sites to see in Palm Springs. The rooms are very well appointed, tasteful, and very comfortable. It is by far one one of the most relaxing and charming places we have ever stayed. The pools are beautiful (and lit at night) and the landscaping (even in their "winter") is beautiful. The staff and other guests are very friendly but never intrusive. It was our first stay at the Hacienda in January 2013. We had booked the special offer of 4 nights for the price of 3 and we were delighted with the spacious and well-provided Grand Deluxe apartment. There are two pools at the Hacienda and we loved the front pool with its views of the mountains and easy access to the hot-tub. The pool was perfectly heated and a pleasure to swim in. Locals reported it was one of the coldest Januaries on record, however we had just arrived from London so the balmy 68-70 degree daytime temperatures were fantastic for us. Evenings were cold - dipping down to almost freezing - so come prepared. The peace and tranquillity of those 4 nights stayed with us the whole trip to the USA. The staff were incredibly courteous, helpful and obliging laying out delicious breakfasts and lunches each day (all included in your room rate). The other guests were delightful too. The Hacienda was the perfect choice for my first stay in palm springs. The staff could not do enough to make me comfortable, the room (unasked for upgrade) was well appointed, spotless and inviting, the grounds and pools beautifully maintained. If I mentioned even casually I had an interest in a Palm Springs activity; computer printed info was delivered to my poolside chaise within 30 minutes of mentioning it. There are only 10 rooms, 5 around each pool....personally I liked that. the 'craziness' is close enough if the mood should strike, but I loved this seemingly private oasis in the midst of it all. The Hacienda is unarguably the most high end of the gay guest houses in Palm Springs. The whole experience is first class. The grounds are green and flowered, there are two swimming pools. Breakfast and lunch are included in the room rate with good menus. The room I had, which I understand is the smallest, was room 8. The room was very large: sofa, two televisions, king bed, dining table, desk, private patio and a huge bathroom. The room was very clean. But what I will most remember is the really warm and welcoming staff. They are so helpful, and tips are not accepted. The Hacienda is a very well maintained, higher end resort in Palm Springs. We have stayed in several resorts on our many trips to Palm Springs but The Hacienda will now be our only resort! There just isn't any reason to go anywhere else. The rooms are decorated very tastefully and very well furnished. The bathroom remodel looks very recent and very inviting. Even though it rained half the time we were there, we didn't mind staying in the room because it was so nice and the hot tub was just a few steps from our door. Anyone visiting this resort will not be disappointed. My boyfriend and I stayed at The Hacienda for a long weekend in January 2013. It was truly a warm and inviting environment from the first moment we stepped foot onto the premises. All of the team members, especially Steve the General Manager and of course Luis from housekeeping, went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that ours was a wonderful vacation. We stayed in the Grand Deluxe Suite, which was large, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The atmosphere was intimate, laid-back and yet upscale, all of which I believe to be the owners' mission. We intend to return very soon and look forward to making this hotel our vacation home in Palm Springs for a long time to come. Our first time to Palm Springs was spent here. The atmosphere is very serene and the service is top notch. The review title says it all. This was our fifth stay at The Hacienda and looking forward to many more. Our most recent trip was NYE and it was perfect. We've stayed in every season and each time it has been perfect. It's become our second home when we are in PS. The owners, the staff, the rooms and the grounds are all so inviting. Well we found ourselves not knowing what to do for New Years Eve weeeknd. So I called the Hacienda and they had two rooms left. I booked one and away we went. This would be our seventh time there. As always we were greated by Tom and he walked us to our room. It was a wonderful room at the back pool area. We unpacked and decided to go to the weekly street fair in downstown Palm Springs. It was packed but we had so much fun. We decided to have dinner at the Chop House which is always very good. We like it more than LG's across the street. We went back to our room and put the fire place on and it felt like home. We watched a movie than went out to enjoy the spa. The rest of the time we just laid around and enjoyed the pool and spa all weekend. Jim and all the staff (especially General Manager Steve) always make our stay there as enjoyable as they can, we will return again soon. I can't say enough about this wonderful 5 star mini resort. The Hacienda has it down. The staff, a cut above, the grounds lush and throughly maintained. More about the staff, attentive not intrusive, they consistently deliver. Upon arrival, because of the pre-holiday lull, they gave us a double upgrade on our room. Larger than many NYC apartments, with a fireplace to boot. I was celebrating a birthday and found a bottle of wine was provided to acknowledge it, nice touch guys. Would return without hesitation. This is our second time to the Hacienda and it was as excellent as the previous time. There's absolutely (and I mean absolutely) nothing negative to say about this place. My first visit to the Hacienda and it was perfect! The owners and staff were professional (but friendly) and quickly responded to even the smallest request. I had suite number one which is near the front gate but never noticed any noise at all. The breakfast and lunch were a wonderful amenity. If you are there on Friday be sure and attend the "mixer" provided by the owners; a great way to get to know them and the other guests. I've been going to Palm Springs for many years, and decided to splurge with a visit to the Hacienda. I had toured the property years ago, and am happy to say it looked just as immaculate today as it did when I first saw it. Yes, it is more pricey than other resorts in the Warm Sands area, but that is because it is worlds above the others in comfort, service and luxury. We arrived very late, and the owners had left our keys in a lock box out front. We were happy to discover that we were upgraded to a Grand Deluxe Suite for our four-night stay. Upon entering our suite, we found a lovely personal note welcoming us to the resort, along with a small basket of snacks, which was an unexpectedly nice touch. The suite was like a luxury apartment, with a living room, dining room (and a fireplace!), kitchen and separate bedroom and bath. There was also a private patio out back, which we never used because the pool outside our room was more inviting. We've been coming here almost 10 years and every visit proves better than the one before - no change this trip! We've stayed in every unit over the years and they are all meticulously clean, fresh, shiny... beautifully appointed. The two person shower is amazing and 9 of 10 rooms have a private patio. Two pools and a fantastic hot tub.. lush grounds and attendance to your every need by the staff. Jim and Maurice treat us like old friends and The Hacienda remains our favorite escape! We just returned from a five night stay at the Hacienda (after too long of a break - 2.5 years!) and it was so nice to return to a place pretty much exactly as you left it...and most importantly, as you want it. Jim and Maurice run a top notch getaway...and obviously treat their staff with respect and trust, as many have been there since I started going 7 years ago. If Steve ever leaves...I don't want to think about that. It's the staff and atmosphere that make this one of the most pleasing places to relax, meet new friends and just sit and stare at the beauty of the mountains against the blue sky backdrop. Go. This was our first stay at The Hacienda at Warm Sands and we were extremely impressed with our entire stay. From check-in to check-out, we received the most impeccable service from Jim, Maurice and their staff. We originally booked a Junior Suite for three nights and a Deluxe Suite for the last night of our stay and , at check-in, we found out that Jim and Maurice had upgraded us to a Deluxe Suite for all four nights at no extra charge. They wanted us to be in the same room all four nights during our stay and not have to change rooms at all. What a wonderful surprise this was to us and we can't thank them enough!!! That definitely goes to show you that they care about their guests and want them to have an incredible experience at their resort. The suite was large and immaculate and the grounds were very beautiful. Every day we were provided with a wonderful breakfast and an incredible lunch. The Greek Salad and Rueben sandwich were two selections from the lunch menu that were to die for...There wasn't anything at The Hacienda at Warm Sands that wasn't five star quality.
