It’s difficult to write anything that has not already been said about the place, but we also had a wonderful stay at The Hacienda. Everything was above “top of the line” with our stay. We stayed here for four nights around the 4th of July and wish we could have stayed longer. Our room (Jr. Suite #8) was very large and extremely comfortable. The bed was excellent, the room was very quiet, and we slept through the night, every night. The bathroom was huge, and had a big open window out to a private patio, which let in a lot of light. A refrigerator, microwave, sink, glasses, dishes, and everything else you could want or need was included in the kitchen area. In addition, they included a personalized welcome basket with snacks that was waiting for us when we arrived.
The grounds are immaculate with beautiful foliage that is extremely well maintained and landscaped. You will see some wildlife including a lot of hummingbirds on the property! You won’t go hungry staying at The Hacienda – there were a lot of choices at breakfast, and we really enjoyed the daily lunch. As some other reviewers had mentioned, if you are not on the property when lunch is served, they will wrap it for you and leave it in your refrigerator. We had ours for dinner one evening along with a bottle of wine, which worked out perfectly.
If you’re not familiar with Palm Springs, the property is located on a quiet residential street, close to other gay resorts but once inside it feels like a private oasis. It’s a great location since you can walk to bars, restaurants and shops in downtown Palm Springs in about 20 minutes.
We were there at the end of June/early July, and we were concerned about the heat. It was hot – around 105+ during our stay, but it was never felt oppressive, since the humidity was low. It was perfect weather to sit by one of the two (remarkably clean) pools!
As others have mentioned, all of the staff are remarkable. As others have mentioned, there was nothing they could not help with, and gave excellent recommendations on activities in the area. All of the managing staff and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Both Steve and Paul were exceptional and made our experience a wonderful stay.
