It started, we think, with Marilyn – first the 2011 movie, ‘My Week With Marilyn’, and then Marilyn arrived in Palm Springs last May. The 26 foot tall sculpture by American artist Seward Johnson was inspired from the film ‘The Seven Year Itch’. Marilyn’s presence has kindled a new thrill in the City, adding to the swelling buzz coming from the significant array of world-class events for which Palm Springs is now famous, including the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Modernism Week, Palm Springs Art Museum special exhibits, among many others.
