My husband and I recently returned from a first-time 4-night stay at The Hacienda and we have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite, and to say that we were impressed with the room is an understatement. We have been staying at another gay resort in North PS for many years, going about 4 times per year, and decided we needed a change of venue. A quick Google Search brought up The Hacienda. We booked the room for our next 2 trips, in March and May, because we noticed that since there aren’t a lot of rooms, it can be difficult to find availability.
Besides the impeccably clean and spacious room, the service from the staff was extraordinary. We didn’t actually ask for anything special, since we have a car and already had our dining and entertainment plans, but it was apparent that nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was laid out in the breezeway and enjoyed by the pool, and there was more than enough variety to please anyone. Lunch is ordered from the extensive menu in the room, and the staff will set it up wherever you want to eat. A really nice touch is the carafe of iced tea, lemonade, Chardonnay, or bottle of Modelo that is included. (The sandwiches are no joke; we had to buy leftover containers so we could take the other half home. Equally impressive was the salmon salad.)
The bedding was first-rate and we slept like babies. The sliding glass door from the bedroom led to a private patio, which we didn’t use but was nice. The curtains were heavy and dark, and kept out all of the light in the morning.
It is apparent that the owners thought of just about everything they could to offer a relaxing and tranquil environment in a 5-star boutique hotel setting. They did such a good job that we booked our third stay of 2026 while we were there, which says it all.
