Let me first say that we found The Hacienda by accident back in May 2011 after we ran screaming from another property that could only be described as the gay Bates Motel.

This was our second visit and it was just as good if not better than our first visit. I’m trying to be objective and give at least one constructive criticism, but I honestly can’t think of one, so I’ll just tell you why we are so in love with The Hacienda.

First of all, the staff…Jason, Tom, Paul, Cliff, Luis (there’s another really sweet guy there and I can’t remember his name..sorry) are the best, most genuine, most helpful group guys ever. They are professional without being stuffy or impersonal and friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing. I could go on, but you get the idea. Also, Jim & Maurice the owners are delightful and usually stop by from time to time to say hello and always remember your name as do the rest of the staff.

Secondly, the property is beautiful, lush and well maintained. The pools are sparkling clean, as is the jacuzzi. The Hacienda is a clothing optional property, but not in a way that invites a “certain” type of activity…and you know what I mean. It’s very comfortable and some people will be in swim trunks around the pool and some will not. It’s all very relaxed and almost feels like being at a spa. The rooms are impeccably clean. Our rooms were well appointed with just about everything you could need from flatware to blender. The bathrooms are beautiful complete with a 2-man shower with so many shower heads it’s like being in a car wash…but in a good way. High-end toiletries and so many towels you couldn’t possibly use them all, well ok, you can and probably will.

Last, included in the price of you room is daily continental type breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, pastries, cereals, bagels, fruit, etc. Lunch is also included, which I love…who wants to deal with lunch when you’re relaxing poolside when you can have it brought to you. A decent sized lunch menu is in your room which includes yummy salads, wraps and sandwiches. AND this isn’t some weird pre-made lunch, these are fresh made to order lunches You give your order to the office by 1030am and by 130pm your lunch is brought to you poolside or in your room on lovely white plates. You never need to leave The Hacienda until the sun goes down unless you want to.

Bottom line, if you want to come enjoy the desert with some luxury and some relaxation you couldn’t find a better place. They majority of the guests tend to be in the 30-55 age range.
