Very hard to find a fault with the Hacienda. It’s at the high end from the standpoint of cost but once you leave, it is obvious upon reflection that the cost was worth it. It was mostly couples but one doesn’t feel isolated by being solo. I like my creature comforts and am willing to pay for them so this was money well spent. The property is beautifully maintained and the entire staff incredibly helpful. No question in my mind about not returning in the fall.

This was the second time we stayed at the Hacienda. We went back because the first time, three nights was not enough. This time we spent eight nights. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had and we will definitely go back. The atmosphere, with the water features, flowers, fruit trees, landscaping and soft music, is pleasing to all the senses. With two pools and a hot tub with only 9 suites, there is always a place by the pool. The service is unsurpassed, friendly and always accomodating. The breakfasts in the common area are perfect and light if you are watching your calories. The lunches are tasty and selection is remarkable given the small size of the resort. The rooms/beds, products etc. very comfortable and good quality. The Hacienda is perfectly located and we walked into downtown Palm Springs every evening for dinner, never once feeling it was too far. Not one complaint.

Jim and Maurice welcome you with a genuine and warm greeting and make you feel very at home. The staff, led by Steven, are all lovely and everyone made our stay very relaxing. Everyone is very helpful but it’s nice and low key, which is how I like it. They were happy to make recommendations and book restaurants or massages.Probably the best gay resort I’ve stayed in.
The resort is small, immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast is really good and the two pools are great. We had one of the smallest rooms and it was still a great room. Big enough to relax and spread out in and spotless with loads of towels and nice toiletries. Shower was really nice with good water pressure - it never ceases to amaze me how many places have a shower that drips water over you. Not here! Really refreshing showers every day.
Lunch was good too - and included in your stay. It was nice to order in the morning and then laze by the pool until the staff brought out lunch to where ever you wanted to eat.
Great place - thoroughly recommend it.

Five star all the way. Amazing service, friendly and courteous staff, luxurious rooms, easy walk to downtown, could not find one thing to complain about. Will certainly make a return visit. The pools and hot tub are heated and spotless. Breakfast and lunch are included and lunch is served either poolside or in your room. The beds are luxurious.

I always say the formula for a great accommodation isn’t so difficult - only difficult to find. You want a clean (OK, spotless) room, a comfortable bed with good linens and plenty of pillows, you want more towels than you need, you want staff who are attentive and polite without being intrusive, and you ‘kinda want to feel important…even just a little. My partner and I stayed here in February and I have to say, the owners and staff at the Hacienda have it down. From helping with restaurant suggestions before we arrived to every little detail of the room and the service, they nailed it. We would recommend without hesitation and hope to return.

Out of all of the guest houses that I have stayed with over the years, the best gay guest house is The Hacienda at Warm Sands. The rooms are clean, the property is impeccable, the breakfast menu and catered lunch menu is delicious. I have to say that I am beyond impressed. The guest house staff, Jim and Maurice sent me a nice bottle of red wine in honor of my Birthday! You don’t have to worry about forgetting to tip the wonderful staff, because it is added to your stay! There are two pools and a 10-man hot tub, all of which is clothing optional. If you are shy about being naked, the clientele is generally more mentally mature than most places, so you don’t have to be naked if you don’t want to and no one will judge you otherwise.

I travel a LOT and I know what makes for good versus great lodging. This was our first visit to this resort, and we selected it since quality and service top their list of what’s important. The Hacienda delivers both. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept with tables and chairs, umbrellas, gathering areas, two pools, a spa tub, towel coverings for the pool loungers and spa towels in the rooms. There is a gorgeous view of the mountains from the pool area.
Our room was immaculate, tastefully decorated with quality furniture, and very functional. We liked the full kitchen, the dining and sitting area with a separate bedroom. It let us do some light entertaining out of the bedroom. We enjoyed the wine reception where we met other guests and enjoyed chatting with them each morning at breakfast. We do wish they had repeated the reception at least one or two times more during the week even without the owners. Meeting others was great.
The breakfast offerings were consistently varied, fresh and good. The chance to order lunch each day at no extra cost and have it delivered poolside or to our room was just great. One of us is vegan and this was accommodated. One day the catering service made an error on the order. The Hacienda staff, who were always friendly, caught the error as it came in, informed us and called the caterer. Within about 20 minutes, we had our correct lunches because one of the staff made a special trip to make it right. That’s service!!
There are some common small amenities in the room including fresh fruit, k-cup coffee options, and popcorn. There were some unusual offerings; two free passes to the Palm Springs Museum, a powered flashlight in case of a power outage, a pillow “menu” and spa type shower amenities among others.
The owners know how to do it and the staff care enough to make it right. We will be back.

This was a repeat visit for us to The Hacienda and once again, it did not disappoint! We love it there! It is so intimate and comfortable with immaculate grounds and a beautiful view of the mountains from the pool. All of the staff is incredible and very attentive. It was our 20th anniversary and the owners, Jim & Maurice, could not have been kinder - they even had a bottle of champagne and a personalized card waiting for us upon arrival. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend The Hacienda!

We had another wonderful stay at the Hacienda, earlier this month in February. We were lucky with perfect weather most of our stay, sunny and in the mid-70s. Immediately upon check in we received suggestions for local activities (there was a modernism exhibit going on in town) and other sites to see in Palm Springs. The rooms are very well appointed, tasteful, and very comfortable.
It is by far one one of the most relaxing and charming places we have ever stayed. The pools are beautiful (and lit at night) and the landscaping (even in their “winter”) is beautiful. The staff and other guests are very friendly but never intrusive. I can’t wait to book another trip back and see Steve, Paul, Luis and the rest of my friends at the Hacienda!
